Product Description
The thermocouple for gas stoves is a temperature sensor that operates based on the thermoelectric effect. It consists of two different metals welded into a thermocouple wire. When heated by a flame, a small electric current (thermoelectric potential) is generated due to the temperature difference between the two metals. This signal is transmitted to the gas valve controller to keep the valve open. When the flame is extinguished, the current disappears, and the valve automatically closes to prevent gas leakage.
